i’m planning my classes for Squam Art Workshops 2012, and realized i hadn’t shared these photos yet from my Unconventional Embroidery class there in september. this was my first time teaching the september Squammies, (the artists, or “pagans”, as elizabeth lovingly calls them) and we had a fine [...] suddenly, without any warning at all (i’m still trying to figure out that happened to August?) it’s that time of year again. for us makers, the busiest time! though it seems this whole year has been a whirlwind. wednesday i’m off to teach AND learn at Squam Art Workshops. i’m very much looking forward to taking [...] as you may know, last week i was off to New Hampshire for one of my most anticipated events of the year: Squam Art Workshops. this one got off to a bit of a rocky start. you can’t really tell what’s going on in that photo above, so let me explain: i took that photo [...] the next announcement i have is that i am ELATED to be teaching again this year at the words-defy-me awesomeness that is Squam Art Workshops. and this time around, i’ve got four classes at the Spring (June) session (that’s the fibery/textile one), AND one at the Fall (September) session (that’s the visual art, [...] tomorrow at dawn i leave for the September session of Squam Art Workshops. this time i will be helping out and taking, not teaching, classes and i could not be more excited about it! and then of course i’ll be selling my stuff at the Squam Art Fair again on Saturday. please come if you [...] if you are intrigued by the SAW experience, maybe pondering going next year, or still unconvinced but curious to know more about the people, the place, the stories… i think i’ve found the cure: the about-to-be-released journal, volume one. even though i was there, i still have an insatiable need to learn about all of [...] #gallery-1 { well. i’m still not sure how eloquent i can be on my experience at Squam Art Workshops. i mean, how do you describe heaven to mere mortals? let’s just say i now have a pretty clear definition of my idea [...] …but this will give you an idea: i’ll post my pics and thoughts tomorrow. |
