also this month i’ll be back at brooklyn general on sunday the 20th, from 10am-1pm with a brand new class: make your own sunhat! we’ll draft a quick pattern and then whip up these simple reversible hats right on the spot. after that i’ll be hoofing it over the Gowanus canal drawbridge to home ec for [...] as usual, later this month i’ll be heading down to brooklyn to teach a few classes. i’ll post the rest tomorrow, but here are the deets for the beginner sewing class i’m doing at lena’s in fort greene: JUNE BEGINNER SEWING WITH CAL PATCH if you want to learn sewing from the very beginning, this one-day workshop [...] i have always dreamed of having a booth at a real farmers’ market. i wouldn’t be selling traditional “PROduce”, but rather the things i make or “proDUCE”, using raw materials grown on my farm. well, on saturday that dream comes true! partially anyway (the fledgling farm is still gearing up for production). jill and i [...] i try to remember to capture a group shot at the end of any project class i teach… more often than not i forget to bring my camera or just forget to snap the photo. here are some pics from the beginner sewing workshop last month at lena corwin’s studio. i only managed to get [...] i’ll be teaching a beginner sewing class in rhinebeck this weekend, at the lovely wing & clover. there are still spaces available! if you’ve been wanting to learn to sew, here’s your chance. by the end of the three class sessions, you’ll have made friends with your machine, and designed your own tote bag (like [...] well i’m about to become a very busy bee this month (or at least a busier bee than i’ve been so far this year). i’ve got a few new teaching venue relationships brewing, in and around my new upstate locale, which makes me happy because it means i am slowly beginning to wean myself off [...] this weekend i’ll be back in brooklyn for two classes and a book signing! everything takes place this sunday, october 25: first is a beginner patternmaking class at brooklyn general, from 10am-noon, in which you’ll learn how to make a pattern for a t-shirt that fits YOUR body, followed by a book signing there from [...] |
