the second class i’m teaching in brooklyn this month is a two-hour patternmaking workshop at brooklyn general, in which you’ll draft a pattern for a sleeveless summer shift dress. here are the details: Patternmaking Workshop: Shift Dress Sunday, July 18 10am-12pm $50 In this 2-hour workshop you will learn to draft a pattern for a simple sleeveless shift [...] also this month i’ll be back at brooklyn general on sunday the 20th, from 10am-1pm with a brand new class: make your own sunhat! we’ll draft a quick pattern and then whip up these simple reversible hats right on the spot. after that i’ll be hoofing it over the Gowanus canal drawbridge to home ec for [...] well i’m about to become a very busy bee this month (or at least a busier bee than i’ve been so far this year). i’ve got a few new teaching venue relationships brewing, in and around my new upstate locale, which makes me happy because it means i am slowly beginning to wean myself off [...] here’s the schedule for my classes in brooklyn this month: saturday 1/23, 11am-4pm: altered states @ lena corwin’s studio inspired by the article she wrote for BUST (in the aug/sept ’06 issue), cal will show you how to make clothing fit better and look current. taking in side seams, adjusting hemlines, lowering waistlines, and piecing in other [...] i just wanted to post a quick note to say that there are still a few spots open in each of my patternmaking classes this sunday the 13th. take one or both, and get started in the art of patternmaking! 10am-12pm Patternmaking/T-Shirt at Brooklyn General Design and make your own clothes!
